Dunoon Divers are one of the youngest BSAC Clubs in the UK, formed only in 2019, and really gathering pace since the pandemic.
We are based on the beautiful Cowal Peninsula, 1 hour west of Glasgow. We currently have around 30 members ranging from very experienced divers and instructors, to new trainees.
We have access to a great local swimming pool for training and try dives which is on a Wednesday evening. Our kit store is within the pool so we don’t have far to carry kit, and we have access to 2 compressors for members to use.
We follow our pool sessions with a short walk up to our local watering hole, the Tryst, where we can chill out, debrief and have a couple of social drinks.
We have an incredible variety of diving available to us along miles of beautiful coastline including beautiful scenic and shipwreck sites. Most of our sites are only a few minutes away, and easily accessible making diving available to us all year long. We are also a short drive away from more fantastic diving in Loch Long and Loch Fyne with over 100 known shore dives within a 1 hour drive.
We are also lucky to have a brilliant diving charter based right here on the Clyde who can take us out to even more remote sites and some incredible shipwrecks right outside Dunoon!
For only £40 a year you can come and be a part of our new and exciting Club. We aim to be very active by organising diving trips around the country and abroad, getting lots of dive training done, and also have a fun time whilst doing it because that is what Club life is all about.
